Shirley Brown stated that the Wellness Committee is working towards having a healthy community.  Sarasota County is one in ten communities in the country (and first in Florida) to participate in the Make Your Goal Every Day, Healthy Sarasota County. The goal is 5 - 2 -1 - 0, which means,  five fruits and vegetables, two hours of screen time (computer or television),  one hour of physically fit, and zero sugar, soda or sweetened sports drinks per day. Frank Kovach stated to student representative, Alexander Coyne, that he was glad to have another male at the table.

Caroline Zucker recently saw the musical "The Scarlet Pimpernel"at Sarasota High, and "All Shook Up" at Booker High. She complimented our schools and urged the community to check our website and go see our many talented students.
